The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.

SASSA will be rendering expert services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency claimed it's alarmed regarding the high variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the significant variety of SRD clients/beneficiaries to sassa status check access SASSA services.

“This is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The assistance issue created for intervention encounters a large influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for your office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more sources to allow the servicing of all customers and increase usage of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
